Pension

To help you save money for your retirement, we automatically enrol you into our workplace pension scheme.

This applies to you if you meet the following criteria:

  • earn over £10,000 a year
  • are aged 22 or over
  • are under State Pension age.

The scheme, provided by Scottish Widows, will help you to build a pension fund providing you with an income when you retire.

PFAS contributes 3% towards each colleague’s pension, and the Employee puts in 5% (4% from the employee and a 1% top up from the Government).

Your pension scheme pack will be sent directly to you from Scottish Widows within the first few weeks of starting with us.

We like to celebrate your achievements whether it be for long service, the really great job you're doing or mastering that pesky pivot table in Excel!

At the end of each year, we give you the opportunity to tell us about who you know that deserves recognition through our PFAS Colleague Awards voting platform, with categories including:

CPD

 

Maintain, enhance and broaden your clinical excellence.

As one of our clinicians, you'll receive a £400 annual CPD Allowance (pro rata) that you can use towards clinical training and self-development.

PFAS also offers:

  • Numerous training courses ranging from mentorship to clinical management training.
  • Quarterly PFAS-wide T&D calls and each participatory call will provide you with a CPD certificate.
  • Over 25 optional e-learning CPD modules to complete.

EAP

From time to time everyone needs a helping hand and our independent and confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), provided by Health Assured, is always there to support you whenever you need them.
